Dear Litentry Community,
We are excited to share some important updates about upcoming changes to the Litentry network. These changes are aimed at enhancing our system’s capabilities and ensuring a better experience for all users and partners.
Mid-August: Decimal Change on Parachain Litentry/Litmus
We are about to implement a runtime upgrade in the next few days that includes changing the decimal precision from 12 to 18 on the Parachain Litentry/Litmus. Please note, this change will not affect the LIT Token issued on BNB and ETH networks.
During this upgrade:
- The token bridge will be temporarily suspended
- All related partners will need to implement this change
- Users will not be affected, except for the temporary suspension of some functions
Post-Decimal Change: EVM Compatibility Upgrade
Following the decimal change, our team will prepare for another significant runtime upgrade to make the Litentry parachain EVM compatible. This comprehensive upgrade will involve:
- Major changes to the parachain
- Migration of the token bridge smart contract and other related systems
Expected Timeline
We anticipate that all tasks associated with these upgrades will be completed by the end of August. Please be aware that there may be extended periods where certain functions are unavailable as we work to implement these improvements.
We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time. These upgrades are crucial for enhancing the functionality and compatibility of the Litentry network, and we are committed to ensuring a smooth transition.
Thank you for your continued support.
Best regards,
The Litentry Team
