Litentry this week: Litmus Integrates With Moonriver, Bringing LIT to the Moonriver Ecosystem

Moonriver’s integration with Litmus, Litentry’s sister network on Kusama, Litmus’ token LIT can be deposited on Moonriver and used as xcLIT. This integration brings another XC-20 token to the Moonriver DeFi ecosystem and with it, future cases for Litmus’ decentralized identity aggregation service through XCM, Kusama’s native cross-chain capabilities. The bi-directional bridge and staking are in the final phase of testing. We are preparing for the release. Staking pallet activation in upcoming weeks through several steps, so a rollout of a fully-functioning staking pallet will only be done within a few weeks.

Identity Hub
The Parachain team will develop the on-chain VC generation feature, and this will be enabled in the ID Hub's first launch. Identity Hub will develop the identity quest feature, this feature is broken down into 3 parts:
- Quest creation
- Quest participation
- Reward Distribution.
We will be entering the phase of moving the technical components of data aggregation from MCP to Parachain, and both teams are in communication of nailing down the data aggregation functionality in TEE and working on the identity aggregation framework tech in MCP; this introduces the workflow of how we do cross-chain data aggregation, ID-graph protection and provides generic composability for building up data schemas.

Agile Refinement & Sprint boards test phase in progress and roll out by Aug. 22nd. Draft Product Roadmap started and Bug fixes and infrastructure work: setting up plans for upgrading to latest react-native version. Firesquid migration and Kubernetes migration and research on Terraform and Kubernetes (K8s). Planned layers of stacks — platform-specific (AWS/Hetzner/etc) and universal (below the K8s control plane) to run on. Migrated relevant AWS resources from Cloudformation to Terraform to prepare the ground for K8sand prep for deploying an unmanaged K8s control plane on AWS.

Identity’s Discourse: Kai from Parachain Developer at Litentry discussed “Comparison: Soulbound Token(SBT) VS Verifiable Credential(VC)”. The recent DeSoc paper illustrated how Soulbound tokens (SBTs) could combat the over-financialized phenomenon in Web3, and encode a trusted network where human connection and broad collaboration across differences can flourish.
