We’ve launched the Polkadot parachain crowdloan landing page!
The Polkadot parachain auction is officially being announced to start on November 11th, 2021. Since parachain slots are limited due to technical reasons, project must win parachain auctions to secure their slots. Needless to say, becoming a Parachain is an important milestone for Litentry to deploy our Mainnet and gain the shared security of the Polkadot blockchain.
What community can do to support us is to contribute by staking DOT in the Crowdloan vault, which is stored on the blockchain for a designated period of time. By doing so, you maximize the chance for Litentry to win Polkadot Parachain auction.
In return, you will earn Litentry’s native token (LIT), giving you ownership & share of our network. Besides, signing up for Litentry’s Crowdloan waitlist will give you a 2% extra bonus in LIT. Once DOTs are contributed to our Crowloan pallet, Litentry team will be able to use the fund to bid for an auction slot. For more details, please read this explaining article.

Partnership with Elrond Network
Litentry is partnering with Elrond Network to display Elrond NFT on Twitter and explore ways to use identity information to anonymously determine certain properties or personal traits.
Elrond Network is a highly scalable, fast and secure blockchain platform for distributed apps. Through our collaboration, Elrond users will be able to pass their identity across the different platforms that Litentry will support and tap into interesting potential use cases, such as displaying your Elrond NFT collection on Twitter, and many other creative use cases that can be enabled by the DID aggregator.

Our CPO Lilly spoke about “Why we need digital identity and will it prepare us for metaver” at the imToken Podcast. Below is a snippet of her comments on privacy:
In Germany, people are a lot about privacy. Historically there are a lot of concerns here about the government being too involved. People here are really known for being very anti-surveillance. They’re being very protective of who they are and what they reveal, so privacy is like super important.
This is very core to our team as well. For example, My Crypto Profile allows people to link their Web 2 to a Web3 identity in a very privacy preserving way. Everything is actually meant to be in a way that you don’t have to reveal something that you don’t want to reveal.

Reforestation — we donated to help Tree Millions plant trees worldwide
Litentry is joining Binance Tree Millions Alliance, a 10-million tree planting project, to help with reforestation efforts and tackle climate change.
An NFT certificate encrypted with the details of trees planted will be issued for the donation. It repurposes NFTs as a tool to track how donors’ money has been spent and record details such as the species of tree, where and when it’s been planted.
