Inviting the Litentry community to Drop3 testing: an airdrop platform to discover new projects and get your crypto reward
At Litentry, we are working on a number of products that aim to add value to the community. The latest of them is Drop3. In a few words, it is a decentralized cross-chain airdrop protocol, in the long-term, it will be a bridge to enable rewarding the verification of addresses and the skills of their owners with the support of projects who seek to be discovered, expand their economies or invest in the community. Thus, we want to invite our community and the greater Polkadot ecosystem to test our Drop3 product, and from the get-go start earning for their collaboration. If you participated in the Crowdloan for Litentry, this means additional rewards for your contribution. That being said, let’s take a deeper look into what Drop3 will be about and which problems it aims to solve.
Discovering new projects and products:
Users who like to explore and discover new projects will be able to use Drop3 to navigate and learn about the products and services offered by the project by completing tasks related to a specific product. For instance, a DeFi protocol may invite a user to lend their assets on the platform, earn interest on the assets lent and earn token rewards and airdrops for completing the task. Another example includes inviting a user to become part of a community by participating in the governance layer of a project.
These examples allow users to discover new projects, get awareness of their existence, interact with them first hand and compare the service offered with already existing and similar products the user was already aware of, all while getting rewarded to do it. The experience and comparison help the user to make a better decision on which platform to trust their assets next time they decide to use them. Furthermore, users have the opportunity to become early adopters of promising projects and receive tokens before they become widely adopted and multiply their value.
Learning and verifying skills:
For users who are new to blockchain and cryptocurrencies, this is an opportunity to learn by performing tasks on Drop3 like watching educational blockchain videos or installing a digital wallet for the first time. This increases their knowledge and skills in the space as they become users of protocols and put their assets to good use rather than just buying cryptocurrencies and letting them sit in their exchange address. This also aligns with our objective to create a product that helps Web2 users to cross over to Web3 by making these technologies accessible to newcomers thus making Web3 inclusive, accessible to all, and increasing adoption. As new users gain knowledge and feel comfortable they become participants in our digital economy and can add value to all communities.
This also applies to users that have been involved in the ecosystem for a long time. We want to enable them to verify their skills, knowledge and build a reputation, so that they can use it for joining DAOs, getting access to projects and work opportunities, credits and other benefits that require account verification without giving away your identity. This also involves not having to get verified every time you want to access a product and service and reducing the amount and repetition of meaningless tasks/work to be done.
Invitation to testing:
As we are still in the development phase, we want to invite our community and all those who have participated in the Crowdloan to test Drop3. This would entail completing a few simple tasks and giving us feedback on your experience using Drop3 and how it can be improved.
For the efforts of the community, a total prize pool of 3000+ LIT tokens is foreseen. Individual rewards will be calculated depending on participation, locked in, and will be distributed once the Parachain is ready. For those who already participated in the Crowdloan this is an easy extra reward.
